Bad Kissingen

The rose garden of Bad Kissingen forms the heart of the popular health resort in Bavaria. Accordingly, the central fountain with its water features was to be extensively renovated, modernized and brought up to the latest state of the art in 2016.

Together with the planning office ifw from Berlin and the company Boymann GmbH, we were allowed to realize this project and created a small but fine permanently installed multi-media fountain with watershield and video projection. The Boymann company as general contractor equipped the system with the necessary pipe work, nozzles and pumps. Our part was to plan, install and program the multi-media elements such as lighting, control and electrics.

The main element of the fountain consists of the iconic water fan with its 13 nozzles, which we provided with colorful lighting using the latest LED technology. Thus, the historical style element of the fountain was retained and extended by a contemporary and energy-saving illumination. In addition, we installed a watershield specially adapted to the size of the fountain, which is regularly transformed into an organic "cinema screen" by two powerful video projectors and captivates visitors with specially produced content. The show was completely automated by us, so that no personnel is required for the operation of the fountain and the regularly occurring shows.

The shows are adapted to current events and, for example, point out upcoming cultural events of the city of Bad Kissingen. In summer, there are musical water games to marvel at almost every day, which are supported by thematically matching video projections - but thanks to a special construction, the video shows can even take place in frosty temperatures! Bad Kissingen now has a magnificent highlight in the center of the town, inviting the spectators again and again to a wonderful fountain show both during the day and in the evening.
