Benrath Castle, Festival of Lights

The Benrath Castle Festival of Lights lets the park and its mirror pond shine in magical light every year. The splendour and magic of times gone by is revived for a few hours by the concert of the live orchestra and the gathering of the audience by candlelight and a glass of wine.

In order to give the event a very fitting and special effect, the art2o team was commissioned to provide the mirror pond with stylish and varied fountains. It was important to let the entire audience participate, so the fountains were arranged over a length of 200 meters in the otherwise calm waters. So every visitor around the pond could enjoy not only the music but also the dancing water fountains. To ensure this was done in style, the live orchestra was accompanied by one of our talented operators, who perfectly adapted all effects to the music. The powerful LED lighting of the fountains played an important role, so the colors could also be constantly adjusted to the rest of the Lichterfest arrangement, creating an atmospheric overall composition.

This coordinated cooperation of all trades creates a magical experience, for which every year fans from near and far prepare a romantic picnic and let themselves be carried away into another world for an evening of fun.
